Tere is a London-born artist with Spanish roots, raised between East London and sunny Barcelona. She acquired her passion for cooking while watching her Spanish aunts prepare traditional dishes. With a background in art, she blends creativity and culinary skill to craft beautiful, flavorful meals she loves sharing with guests. Having lived in Barcelona for 14 years and worked as a private chef and event caterer, Tere brings authentic recipes, warm hospitality, and stories of Spanish life to every experience. When she’s not cooking, she explores London’s art scene, gives private gallery tours, and enjoys life on the water with her artist partner and their Spanish Ragdoll cat.

Join Tere, her partner Colin, and their beautiful cat Tippi on their charming houseboat near Canary Wharf for an unforgettable Spanish cooking class in London. In this 2-hour cooking experience, Tere will guide you in creating an authentic Catalan meal in her small kitchen. She often visits her family in Barcelona, bringing back her favorite ingredients to use alongside the freshest local produce. During your London cooking class, you’ll learn to prepare 2–3 classic dishes such as pan con tomate with padrón peppers (Catalan toast with tomato), tortilla de patatas (traditional potato omelet) or espinacas a la catalana (fresh spinach sautéed with raisins and pine nuts), and fideuá or paella (either seafood, chicken or a vegetarian option). After cooking, sit down together to enjoy the meal you’ve helped prepare, accompanied by laughter, engaging conversation, and stories of growing up in London and Barcelona.
This unique in-home Spanish cooking class on a Dutch barge houseboat in East London is the perfect local London experience, blending art, authentic food, and culture.

Tere was great! Unique setting, very friendly and fun. She is passionate and knowledgeable about the cuisine, cultures and even a bit of history! She is a great cook. Recommend. We loved getting to explore a part of the city tourists don’t usually experience.- Cindy November 25, 2025
